Our client is a large, international company involved in Oil & gas exploration and production. With many years of successful on and offshore operations in New Zealand, this company is now looking for an experienced Senior Production Optimisation Engineer to join their Taranaki team.

In this job, you will:

• Lead and develop the Production optimisation team
• Provide input to annual production plans
• Identify, plan and implement improvements
• Monitor & analyse well and reservoir production and look for ways to optimise this
• Provide technical expertise and QC for Production Engineering matters

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Be degree qualified in Petroleum Engineering or similar
• Have at least 10 years Upstream oil industry experience
• Have extensive experience with offshore operations, including FPSO’s
• Have proven skills in Production optimisation, both on and offshore
• Be a good communicator
• Be a lateral thinker and problem solver
• Be a leader in H&S matters
• Preferably have man management skills and the ability to build a team
