Senior Mechanical Piping Engineer

Our client is involved in the Geothermal energy sector and as the need for renewable energy sources has increased, they need to add more people to their team. We’re on the hunt for a Senior Mechanical Piping Engineer with the ability to lead a design team.
It’s a job with a mix of duties that will have you:
- Developing detailed process and instrument diagrams for mechanical process systems
- Providing detailed equipment specifications for mechanical plant
- Design quality review and sign-off, preparation of technical reports, cost and progress monitoring.
- Project Managing some jobs from concept to completion
And, of course, much more.
To be successful in this job, you will be:
- BE (Mechanical) qualified or similar
- Have at least 8 years Piping design experience
- Preferably be CPEng registered (not essential)
- Have process development and design knowledge
- Have process instrumentation knowledge
- Be good at preparing specifications, material selection, etc.
- Be a good communicator at all levels.
This job will require patience and attention to detail, but the ability to see the big picture, to review and check the work of others and deliver results is critical.
